MAZOTSHO Village Communal Garden

Late August [end of their winter season] - and still producing vegetables.

The garden could use better mulching and water retention, and a subsequent visit by our gardening expert - Tim Wigley - emphasized these points.

Mazotsho Village Home Garden Committee:

The Mazoshweni [need to ask the difference between 'weni' and 'o'] Home Garden Committee has 41 members.  The officers of the committee are:
Convener is Nombasa Qabaka - 67-year old widow caring for a household of 5.
Secretary is  Nomsa Mngunni - a 59-year old widow also caring of a household of 5, including 2 grandchildren.
Treasurer is Nomendo Mnguni - a 69-year old widow caring for a household of 4, including 2 grandchildren.
